The Green Hornet

Is it as bad as they say?

 Yes.

Is it good/bad? The kind of bad film that's fun to watch?

No.

Based on the Radio Series Created by George W. Trendle; Screenplay by Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg

Good for nothing pudgy playboy Brit Reid (Seth Rogan) inherits his father's fortune when the old man (Tom Wilkerson) passes away as well as his driver Kato (Jay Chou)  and decides to fight crime as the masked superhero the Green HORNEY. Oops. I meant to write Green Hornet. I wrote HORNEY instead. HORNEY! Isn't that FUNNY? If you think so, you should go see this movie.

Everyone with a sense of humor or taste should pass.

Oh yeah, directed by Michel Gondry

Did Gondry lose a bet and have to direct this? The director of "Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" has shown a subtle, artistic touch in his previous films. But a comedy/superhero movie? I could name 15 other directors I'd have chosen first. Of course, whoever was handed this assignment would be given a script penned by the same creative geniuses who gave us "Superbad" and"Pineapple Express". Perhaps they should have retitled this "UltraSuperbad Express" and left it at that.
